The First Task Is Dragons was formed in September 2008 by Marauder and Mr. Marauder, two avid readers and computer junkies who were inspired by Marauder's passion for Harry Potter slash and their joint passion for making up alternative song lyrics and parodies. Due to their different schedules at the time their music was created, about 85% of the band's content was originated by Marauder.
