Svalblod was formed in 2016 by Nalfein, the sole member of the band, after considering starting a black metal project since around 2010, and having begun writing material then.

The music of Svalblod is inspired by 1st and 2nd wave black metal, classical music, and dark ambient music.
The lyrics of Svalblod are inspired by the beauty and mystery of the natural world, fantasy fiction literature such as the works of Tolkien, Sapkowski, Salvatore, Reichert, and more, as well as Nalfein's utter hatred for the human race and for religion. [read more...]
