Artist Info: Smartplanet

SmartPlanet was a band based in Brighton, UK between 1998 and 2001, comprising Ben Moscrop (vocals, guitar), Debbie Mitchell (bass), Adrian Watts (drums), Neil Corin (keyboards) and Mike Blow (guitar). In 2001 the band took time out to travel the world, reforming for a one-off festival gig in Spain in 2007.

SmartPlanet took their influences from radiohead, pixies, smashing pumpkins, Jeff Buckley, Pink Floyd, My Bloody Valentine and ride. Bassist Debbie Mitchell went on to play with Freud Quiere Bailar and formerly Dismensionel in Barcelona. [read more...]
