Susan Janet Ballion, professionally known as Siouxsie Sioux, is a British singer and lyricist born in London on May 27, 1957. Before she started touring as a solo artist in 2004, Siouxsie was the lead singer of the influential band Siouxsie and the Banshees (formed in 1976) and its splinter group The Creatures (formed in 1981) .
