Carsten Buch was born in Bad Hersfeld, Germany. He started being a musician early by learning instruments like flute and guitar. While playing guitar as an active part of an ensemble for twelve years. He started being interested in electronic music since he was ten. As he owned his first computer, an Amiga from Commodore, he got started in producing music by himself, using tracker-programs.
