1) Shire is a project started by 2 friends living in the Boston area in 2005. Matt Rocco (Drums & Vocals) Chet Osborn (Guitar) just released their new album "Anisette" and it is up for free download on http://www.shire.bandcamp.com

2) Shire was also a moderately successful Norwegian pop-outfit in the late '90s and early '00s. They had a minor hit covering "Something Stupid".
