Artist Info: Shelling

Shelling is a shoegaze/dream pop band formed in Tokyo, Japan in 2007. The lineup consists of vocalist/guitarist aya (aka Fraqsea) and guitarist shota. "Shelling" means to gather shells on the beach. They also call their style "sherbet pop."

On February 17, 2010, they released a split album with IROTTO+ called before time melts. on High Fader Records. Since then, they've released three albums through Chihei Hatakeyama's label White Paddy Mountain: Shelling (2013), Aquarium Sympathy (2014), and Waiting for Mint Shower!! (2017). [read more...]
