Artist Info: Shankmin

Shankmin is a three-piece band from Frederick, Maryland that began writing music in 2004. They file themselves under the semi-non-existent genre Grungecore - Music reminiscent of Helmet, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, etc. but with metal and hardcore influence, breakdowns, riffing and LOTS of distortion. The band's progress has been marred by line-up changes, but two of the original members Mike "Jesus Silencio" Caserta and Barry Dorr and their awesome bassist Cameron "Duckface" Korb prevailed to write their first album's worth of music.
