1. Scalps is a solo project of Chris Hearn, of Alps. Scalps was begun at the same time as Alps, with the intention of being an antithesis project, a kind of evil twin. Scalps embodied the elements which Alps did not: harshness, darkness, the digital, the improvised, treble, static.

Two records, the 'One' cdr and 'Two' 3"cdr were released in 2005 and 2006. Alps became a busy project, releasing ten records over the next four years and touring constantly internationally. [read more...]
