Sandy Posey (born Sandra Lou Posey in Jasper, Alabama, on 18 June 1944; died 20 July 2024) was an American popular singer remembered for her success in the 1960s with singles such as her 1966 recording of Martha Sharp's compositions "Born a Woman" and "Single Girl". Often described as a country singer although (like Skeeter Davis, to whom she has been frequently compared), her output varied.
