Artist Info: Roger Seldon

Born in Pietermaritzburg in 1962, Roger was brought up in apartheid South Africa. Attending Cape Town University medical school in the 1980s, he left South Africa in 1989, avoiding conscription and gaining important international experience. He is a prolific and diverse writer, influenced by politics, comedy and social conscience, but few of his songs have been recorded. He has played with many artists over the years including accomplished cellist Christie Staudhammer and South African performers Aden Hinds and Barbie Meyer. [read more...]
