The name Overnight can be attributed to:

1) A New York City based band of 4 that come from all over the US. Each is a multi-instrumentalist and full-fledged artist in their own right. Individually they've played in groups as stylistically diverse as Rye Coalition, Nas, Lauryn Hill, Mary J. Blige, and Gliss, among others.
