Originally formed in 2008 in Baltimore, MD under the name Necropsy, the band changed their name to Noisem in 2013.

After releasing 3 full-length albums, one live album, and a number of EP's, splits, and singles, the band announced in a post in October 21, 2024 announced that the band's previous show in Detroit would be their final show
