Surprisingly, Mitch Cramer started as a guitar player at the age of 14, soaking in influences ranging from the classics (Metallica, Iron Maiden, Slayer) to heavier stuff like Cannibal Corpse. From there on, the next logical step was to start exploring the industrial and mechanical soundscapes of Skinny Puppy, KMFDM, Aphex Twin, and the more beat-oriented Autechre.
