1) Monsters are a deathcore band from Chicago, Illinois. Formed in 2008 and featuring members from Jerome and future members of Oceano, Monsters played a part in influencing the bouncy, chug heavy style of deathcore many bands in the Chicago and broader deathcore scene would take on. They broke up in 2011, but have since reformed in 2025 and are continuing their reign as a Chicago deathcore icon.
