Artist Info: Maya Sky

Maya Sky was born in Kiev, Ukraine. She grew up in Israel, concentrating on contemporary dance and began singing relatively late, while living in London and making her first recordings there.
Soon upon her arrival in New York, in the late 80's, she was offered a contract w/Rick Wake, producer to 80' superstar Taylor Dane, but decided to pass, since the condition was to tone down her quirkiness and adhere to generic main stream repertoire.
