Mats Eilertsen is a Norwegian jazz bassist. He has recorded with some of the most accomplished jazzmen today, most notably pianist Tord Gustavsen on the acclaimed Restored Returned session.

Eilertsen's own compositions are best described as organic affairs, where melodies emerge slowly from restrained atmospheric improvisations.
