Artist Info: Massivan

Ivan Pezzini — better known as Massivan — was born in 1971, an Italian raised in Switzerland and shaped from the start by sound. The son of a violinist, he picked up the instrument at six, moved to drums soon after, and by 1993 was studying at the American Institute of Music in Vienna. Classical roots, a jazz education, a restless ear — the foundation for everything that followed.

In 2000 he co-founded the Zurich-based imprint Modest Records and released a run of singles under the Josef's Ruhe alias. [read more...]
