Laem is best known for his role as lead singer of the band 25 Hours (Twenty Five Hours) before the band separated to pursue their own duties. which was the beginning of Laem's music making It began with Laem competing in the 5th Hot Wave Music Awards in 2000 and winning the award for Best Singer of that year. After the contest, Amarin Luengboriboon, lead singer of the Pause band, spoke out of admiration that "You'll sing better than me."
