Artist Info: Kunubu

Kunubu is a one-man reggae/ rock project from Virginia Beach, VA formed in the summer of 2010 to make instrumental SoCal-inspired reggae rock, while drawing in influences from styles outside of the typical reggae-rock scene. The name Kunubu is an altered form of the word Qunubu, coming from the same Proto-Indo European root word as Cannabis. Ancient Europeans used qunubu for recreational and ritual use, and viewed it as a sacred plant, not a weed to be despised. Kunubu is best enjoyed with qunubu. [read more...]
