Kukeri (Bulgarian: Кукери) was a popular bulgarian rock band.

Kukeri began in 1968 as a high-school project of Ivan Ivanov - John, bassist Plamen Basarov and pianist Stayko Staykov. The trio was later joined by vocalist Neli Yankova.

Between 1974 and 1998, the band produced 7 small and 6 big records, was permanently present on Bulgarian radio and television, and won twice The Golden Orpheus. [read more...]
