Korn (stylised as KoЯn) is an American nu metal band from Bakersfield, California. It was formed in 1993 by James "Munky" Shaffer, Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu and David Silveria, former members of L.A.P.D. The current line-up consists of Shaffer (guitar), Brian "Head" Welch (guitar), Jonathan Davis (vocals) and Ray Luzier (drums), who replaced Silveria in 2007.
