
Karam Khalaf, professionally known as Kokym, is a Palestinian pop singer-songwriter. He was born and raised in occupied Palestine, singing in Fallahi dialect, which the people of his hometown of Jat have spoken for generations.
At 13, he taught himself to play keyboard, sparking a passion for songwriting and storytelling, often inspired by life under occupation. In 2015, Karam moved to Istanbul to study Arabic music at the Arab Music Institute, led by Syrian musician Maher Na’ana’a. [read more...]
