Stefano Maltese was born in Palermo in 1955, multi-instrumentalist – saxophones, clarinets, flutes, piano, guitar, bass and percussion and composer; “undeniably a major talent on the European jazz scene” (Stan Woolley, Jazz Journal International, 1988). He has gained recognition as a musician taking part in many festivals, radio/TV programmes, whilst creating and performing on a series of highly regarded records by both the critics and public alike.
