Kitchen Hips is the moniker of songwriter and folk musician, Aerienne Russell. Alongside her beau Evan Hemsley, Russell makes melodious music steeped in hominess, heartache, and nostalgic whimsy.

With a base of banjo, wondrous whistling and plenty of puns (one daisy I was lazy and I daffo-dilly-dallyed, but I rose up, and made things happen), Kitchen Hips takes on the pangs of life and lonesome with a spoonful of sugar and a hint of kitsch.
