Artist Info: Kalpulli

In 1999, a collaboration of different artist created Kalpulli. Their only album, "Mixcoatl", became an instant hit in the underground music scene and which it influenced many conscious Mexica/Xicano hip-hop artist.

The collaborating artists on the album were Yaotl, Bulldog, Phoenix, Malok, Huehuecoyotl, Urban Native Son, Tekolotl, and Long Wind, with the beats provided by Zero. [read more...]
