Artist Info: Jerks

Jerks (not to be confused with a band from Manchester called The Jerks, from roughly the same era) were a short-lived punk band from Yorkshire, the area of Leeds, United Kingdom, established in 1976.

Their début single, November 1977's 'Get Your Woofing Dog Me' b/w 'Hold My Hand', is now regarded as a bit of a punk classic. Band members on these recordings were Simon Snakke (vocals), Paul Gilbert (guitar), Mark Jackson (guitar), Charles Chaos (bass) and Andy Caves (drums). [read more...]
