JakeL is a one-man instrumental project. His music is the result of an unique mixture of genres such as progressive metal, djent, post-rock and post-metal.

He released the Shelter EP on August 5th, 2011. This album was self-recorded, self-funded, and self-released. This was later re-released under the name of his new band Ulvik.
