Artist Info: Eberhard Böttcher

Eberhard Böttcher was born in Berlin in 1934 and studied composition there at the Municipal Conservatory from 1952-56. He was awarded the C.-M.-v.Weber Prize in Dresden in 1957.
In 1958 he moved to Sweden, where his "Tonsetzer-Debut" with performances in concert and on radio took place.
Böttcher has lived in Norway since 1968 and has also made an active contribution as a composer here.
He wrote orchestral works, chamber music, church music and vocal works. International performances brought Böttcher increasing artistic recognition. [read more...]
