Erste Allgemeine Verunsicherung (EAV), which translates to "First General Confusion/Uncertainty" in English, was an Austrian band active from 1977 until its disbandment in 2019. The group was founded by Nino Holm and Thomas Spitzer following the dissolution of Holm's earlier band, Anti-Pasta. The name EAV was inspired by a bus stop near the offices of "Erste Allgemeine Versicherung" (First General Insurance), whose abbreviation EAV the band adopted. [read more...]
