At least two musical acts are known as Double:

1. Double is the stage name of Japanese R&B singer Takako Hirasawa. The act originally consisted of Hirasawa and her sister, Sachiko. Their highest-charting single as a duo was “Shake,” which reached #21 in Japan. Following Sachiko’s death in May 1999, Takako continued as a solo artist under the name Double. She is recognized for introducing American-style R&B to the Japanese market and is noted for presenting a sexualized image, which is relatively uncommon among Japanese artists. [read more...]
