* Asheville, North Carolina, band Deep River was founded by Sandy Howard and Sharon Lewis, who have released several albums, from Nashville and North Carolina.
* Bozeman, Montana, band Deep River was made up of bluegrass & folk musicians John Lowell, Nancy Padilla, Joe Rockafellow, and David Thompson. Lowell and Thompson later founded Kane's River.
