
Daniel Lencina was born on 17th, 1938, in the Uruguayan town of Fray Bentos. He started his music career as a trumpet player when, at age 20, joined the Hot Blowers, a band comprised of Argentine and Uruguayan musicians. With this band, Lencina toured the Southern Cone until he settled down in Chile in 1972.
In Chile, Lencina built up a career playing on prestigious clubs and venues, both with the best musicians in the Chilean jazz scene and as a soloist mainly for TV shows. [read more...]
