Corey Heider is a former guitarist/bassist for the Kirksville, MO, USA college rock band the Petting Zoo (1990-1995) which was largely influenced by the Replacements, Too Much Joy, Soul Asylum, the Velvet Underground, and virtually any other artist they listened to at the time. Corey Heider is also a former guitarist for Kansas City, MO, USA alternative country/roots rock band The Welterweights (1998-2003), which was largely influenced by Uncle Tupelo, Son Volt, Wilco, and the Replacements.
