Artist Info: Compton Effekt

In September 2002 Sebastian Hoffmann and Holger Jansen started their apprenticeship together at a telecommunication company in Düsseldorf (Germany). They got good friends and after a while the idea to found a music band was born. So they started in March 2004 with Compton Effekt.

The band name has got two significances. Firstly it is a physical process, observed by Arthur Holly Compton in 1923, for which he earned the 1927 Nobel Prize in Physics [Compton effect (English Wikipedia) / Compton Effekt (German Wikipedia)]. [read more...]
