After performing with local Toronto bands such as Inna Powell and Hungry Lake, and as one half of the twin folk duo Shanti & Vale, Vale Abbott is exploring an experimental side of folk in her new project: Cold Tea. Her music is ethereal and draws on personal history, blending the storytelling of classic folk music and the dreamier perspective of more contemporary styles.
