Culling influences from the avant underbelly of decades past, Chasms is the dark, swirling project of San Francisco-based songwriter Jess Labrador.
Labrador crafts mesmerizing dirges carved out by damaged percussion and hypnotizing guitars. Drenched in the dreaminess of early 4AD, Chasms wade through a blissed-out haze of melancholy with a blistering heaviness, making nods to doom, drone, industrial, and black metal.
