Artist Info: Cave Oss

Cave Oss is a Finnish folk band performing acoustic music ranging from archaic rune singing to polska.
Their first album, Nurmi-Tuomas is a collection of rune singing, spells and epic tales performed with different traditional singing styles from Karelia, Savonia and Ingria. Some of the oldest motives heard on the album are at least 2000 years old. The name "Nurmi-Tuomas" (literally Turf-Tuomas) means "death" in Karelian tradition. [read more...]
