Stanislav Butovskiy was born and raised in the little Russian town on the Volga River. He moved to Moscow and as session musician toured in Europe and USA. He has absorbed sounds from around the world on his travels. BTVSKI realized that all cultures really have a lot in common, he tries to express that in his music, where russian folk is combining with afrobeat, gospel, electronic soundscapes and jazz.
