“Serrano goes from sacrilege to song. Andres Serrano, the artist who sparked a culture war with his “Piss Christ” piece in 1989, is now a singer. Serrano — under the alter-ego of Brutus Faust — released an album last week, “Vengeance Is Mine,” with fresh versions of such classics as “Bad Moon Rising,” “It’s Now or Never” and “Just My Imagination,” plus four tunes written by his girlfriend, Irina Movmyga. “I always wanted to sing when I was young but became an artist instead,” Serrano said.
