Walter Bruce Willis (born March 19, 1955) is a retired American actor and singer. He became known for his role as David Addison Jr. in the comedy-drama television series "Moonlighting" (1985–1989) and later gained international recognition for portraying John McClane in the "Die Hard" film franchise (1988–2013). Over the course of his career, he appeared in more than one hundred films, primarily in action, comedy, and drama roles.
