
Bernhard Marx was a pupil of Marie Claire Alain and Gaston Litaize in Paris and of Ludwig Doerr in Saarbrücken, he then continued his studies with Anton Heiller (Vienna) and Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini (Bologna). In 1973 he won the 3rd prize at the International Organ Competition in Bruges.
