Artist Info: Asiatica

Asiatica began in a garage in Compton, CA in 2017, with only two members - a drummer and a singer who played guitar. Founder Asia Lacy, a songwriter and vocalist, decided to upload one of her bedroom-written songs to Soundcloud, without expecting the overwhelming response that followed. Pitchfork and Pigeons and Planes were among the publications that gave Asiatica glowing reviews.

Since then, the band has expanded to four members. Asia met Chailatay, a Grammy-winning drummer and producer, at a performance they both took part in. [read more...]
