Artist Info: Aronde

Aronde was created to balance two strong musical identities: that of Clémence Cognet and Noëllie Nioulou (Les Poufs à Cordes), and that of Thomas Baudoin and Romain Colautti (D'en Haut), from the traditional repertoires of Auvergne and Gascony respectively, bringing together two seemingly perpendicular paths. Aronde brings them together with style and without artifice. With a musical approach inspired by Terry Riley, Aronde uses loops and repetitions to better appreciate their sonic contours without ever losing sight of their foundations. [read more...]
