Artist Info: Arboretus

Arboretus is the solo project of Hampshire, United Kingdom based multi-instrumentalist Alex Fawcett, also known as the guitarist/vocalist of Oceanus.

The sound draws mainly on guitar-based ambience, shoegaze, drone and post-rock amoungst many other influences.

Arboretus in its current form was conceived by Alex in the lonely Autumn of 2009. The sole purpose is almost one of an autobiographical sense - in that the music is designed to paint a picture of memories, nostalgia and the daily ups and downs of life - no more, no less. [read more...]
