Artist Info: Almost Alone

Almost Alone were a synth duo comprised of Matthew Wilson (vocals) and Simon Chandler (synths/programming). They met at The Wilderness School in Sevenoaks, Kent, and formed the band in 1981 when they were both 15.
In 1983 they self released a 7inch single, Blue City/It's So Sad, recorded at the famous Blackwing Studios (co-owned by Vince Clark of Depeche Mode/Yazoo/Erasure). The single was engineered by Martin Fryer, who worked on numerous synth hits of the era. [read more...]
