929 is a indie folk band from Taiwan. The band is constituted of vocalist/guitarist 吳志寧, recorder player/ guitarist 黃玠, bassist/ tambourine player Dudu, and keyboardist/ back vocalist 小龜. Formed in 2000, they took their name from a pool hall's name that band members usually went to. The band is known for its poetic lyrics touching on such issues as environment, human rights, and rebellion against social injustice.
