TEA wurde 1970 durch T(uro Pashayan), E(ggli Roli) und A(rmand Volker) gegründet.
Zuerst als Trio recht erfogreich, aber nicht zufrieden, freuten sie sich über den Zuzug
von Marc Storace im 1972 und Philippe Kienholz 1973. TEA spielten in ganz Europa. Ein
USA deal platze in letzer Minute, weil das Management in den USA pleite ging.
TEA feierte nebst der Schweiz Erfolge vor allem in ganz Europa, so speziell in England
(2 Tourneen), Italien, Deutschland, Frankreich, und auch als special guests auf
Tourneen von Queen, Status Quo, Nazareth, Golden Earing sowie im Vorprogramm von Alice Cooper, Savoy Brown, etc. Die Plattenverkäufe (4 LPs, 3 Singles) hielten sich u.a. in Grenzen, weil TEA sich weigerte, sich strikte den kommerziellen Geboten unterzuordnen.
TEA verdankten viel dem grossen Einsatz von Manager Peter Wälti (hat auch das Copyright der Photos), mit dem ich schon vor 50 Jahren im Sandkasten gespielt habe, sowie den vielen Helfern, die ohne Bezahlung (gibt's das heute noch ?) tausende von Kilometern mitreisten (Chresta, Hotschi, Bachmann, Wofi und viele andere) und mitarbeiteten.
Offiziell hat sich TEA nie aufgelöst, aber seit 1977 keine Auftritte mehr gehabt .....
