Detailierte Künstler Informationen: Marcal

Marcal’s innovative fusion of captivating rhythms, cutting-edge sound design, and storytelling approach makes Marcal one of the important figures in contemporary electronic music, always challenging the boundaries of modern techno.
Rooted in a childhood shaped by the rhythms of Brazil’s cerrado and the precise hum of machines at home, Marcal naturally gravitated toward electronic music. This unique duality—organic and mechanical—defines his sound.

Showcasing his storytelling instinct, the artist’s versatility shines through a broad musical palette—whether in marathon sets or shorter sessions. In his sets, Marcal focuses on maintaining a steady flow and rhythm while blending in psychedelic atmospheres, shaping a cohesive and compelling sonic narrative.

Deeply influenced by the rich rhythms and traditions of his heritage, the Brazilian fuses tribal elements with futuristic, sci-fi-inspired sound design, evoking a primal fight-or-flight sensation. Tracks like “Bionic Jungle” from his Cyber Dystopia EP capture this essence: a cyberpunk-esque, adrenaline-charged vibe.

Marcal’s artistic vision also extends into his discography, with key releases on boundary-pushing labels like Spazio Disponibile, Enemy Records and Token. These works reveal the full scope of his sonic identity: deep, textural, and unmistakably rhythmic, merging hypnotic repetition with precise sound design to create tracks that feel alive, intentional, and emotionally charged.
