"Die im Jahre 2012 neugegründete Leipziger Band, setzt ihren musikalischen Hebel dort an, wo Post-Punk und Indie-Pop dereinst eine gemeinsame Kreuzung hatten. Mit Rainy Indie Music, die sich einen Hauch herbstliche Melancholie leistet, charakterisieren sie ihre melodischen und aufwühlenden Songs, welche durchaus das Potenzial besitzen, sich im Ohr festzusetzen, um zum Begleiter für lange, wache Nächte zu werden. LIZARD POOL sind eine klassisch besetzte Drei-Mann-Band, die nach einigen länger zurückliegenden EPs im April 2014 ihr Debütalbum „She Took The Colours“ veröffentlicht. Aus der Nähe zu den einstigen Untergrund-Heroen von DIE ART ergibt sich im Falle von LIZARD POOL ein Sound, der den rebellischen Geist von damals in sich trägt und dennoch einen neuen Farbsplitter in das Bild der Leipziger „Westmusik“ bringt."

"The band, which was founded in 2012 and based in Leipzig, pitches its sound where post-punk meets indie-pop. With its rainy indie music which dares to be shrouded in melancholy, characterized by whirling, melodic lyrics, the music is able to get into your subconscious and become your partner for long, sleepless nights. Lizard Pool are a classic three-piece band consisting of drums, guitar and bass. Their first EP, released some time ago, aroused considerable interest, and now the debut album, “She Took The Colours” was released in April 2014. The sound, clearly influenced by one of the original underground bands, Die Art, is like the ghost of rebellion to the past, but at the same time displays flashes of the potential found in the new Leipzig music scene."
